School District meals for children

(This is NOT an official stake e-mail.  This is simply information I think every family should have access to.)

Hello Park Stake Relief Society presidencies,

Alpine School District is again participating in the Summer Food Service Program which provides FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL children under age 18.  The closest sites where the service is available are Mountain View High School, Orem Junior High School, and Geneva Elementary.  The dates of service vary by site: Mountain View High School--June 1st through July 20th, Orem Junior High--July 2nd through July 31st, and Geneva Elementary--June 4th through June 29th.  My boys and their friends went to Mountain View High School last summer a few times as did other kids in our ward and stake.  I know there are families that will benefit from this program and other who might just enjoy going over to the school for breakfast or lunch.  I've attached the flyer and a map for this program.

I was hoping this information/flyer could make it into your Ward Newsletter, Sunday Bulletin, Relief Society Bulletin, and/or Relief Society e-mail.  Or simply tell your neighbors about this opportunity.

Call or text if you have any questions I can help answer.

Your neighbor,

Diane Ogborn

We will be meeting at the church to carpool to the Library. Please be ready to leave the church at 6:45 so we can be there by 7. If you are not able to carpool there you can meet us at the north end of the first floor of the Harold B. Bahrs' Adoption Fundraiser Garage Sale May 5

Dear friends!

We are so happy to announce that we are finally supported by the non-profit organization "Orphan Justice Mission" that is providing us with its exempt Tax ID. Now all of you or your friends’ personal or business donations to our adoption would be Tax deductible with the confirmation letter from "Orphan Justice Mission" which might benefit many who need a TAX deduction. Please read more detailed info how to make donations on line by going to our page on their website at: https://www.orphanjustice.org/adoption/adoption-support/bahr-tanya-adoption/

All check donations need to be made to the "Orphan Justice Mission" with the memo: Bahr Family Adoption and mailed to us:

If you have questions please call to Kyle Douglass (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR) (888) 371-0526 ext. 701

Please email or call us before you make donations with any questions. Please share this message with everyone who you know that might be willing and able to donate. We are going to organize an Adoption Charity Banquette in May to raise the rest of the adoption fees.

The latest update on our Adoption: our Home Study was approved by USCIS and we would be ready to present our Home study and dossier to Ukraine as soon as we raise $2,000 more to be able to pay the total $9,300 Adoption fees to our agency for this period. After that we need to have only $12, 000 or so to take with us as we go to Ukraine. We called Tanya. She was so excited to receive our gift delivered to her by one of the adoptive family that got their docs approved and went there to pick up their child. Two other families are on their way to Ukraine to get their kids. We are so anxious to get our Tanya home.

WE NEED YOU HELP AGAIN!

We want to organize a HUGE Garage SALE ADOPTION FUNDRAISER this coming Saturday on May 5, 2012.  We received the donation of the big open lot on 400 South close to the 400 West intersections to run this event, but we need your donations of any items that you can bring there on May 5 or you can bring to our place at 391 S 400 W before the event! If you want to make some cookies or other baked goods please let us know.

PS: If you want to make your garage sale donations Tax deductible please come and put up your own table, collect the money from selling your items, put on your account and then write the check to the "Orphan Justice Mission" with the memo: Bahr Family Adoption.

Thank you so much for your willingness to help,

With love and best wishes, Bahr Family
