Lesson from December 9

Thanks to Barbara Alldredge for giving the lesson and summarizing it for the blog: Righteous Living in Perilous Times We are living in the winding up stages of the world. These times have been prophesied since almost the beginning of time. The world is in for a serious house cleaning. We get to be the ones to start first with our own house. We get to clean our own homes. We get to be the example, the immovable anchors in the world. We get to be the light in the world that will draw God's other children to Him. Favorite Quotes from lesson: We are all under the obligation of making this world a happier place for our having lived in it. Make YOUR influence felt. (Small imperfect book marks were handed out as a reminder that each of us has a part in the Lords work. Each of us, though small and imperfect have something to give to Make Your Influence Felt) Hey - if there are some that would like a book mark, I have extra and would love to share. I pray that in our hearts and in our homes there may abide that spirit of love, of patience, of kindness, of charity, of helpfulness that enriches our lives and that makes the world brighter and better because of it. Comments: It has been prophesied that the Lord will come with great calamities that have been prophesied, or He can come in peace. It is up to us. We can create that peace - even if it is in our hearts. We can feel His peace, even when the world is falling apart around us. Jessica Lewis: Several years ago during a Sunday School lesson the question was asked - Why has our time in the history of the world been talked about and written about so much more than any other time? After a long pause brother Ted Gibbons said- It's because we know the outcome. We know who wins. Everything has been leading up to this event. We get to pick our team and be part of the great last play of the game. It gives Jessica great comfort to know that she gets to pick her team and be on the Lords side.
